The Farmer Walk:
This exercise is damn simple, yet not a lot of people know about it. If you don’t know about it, then don’t worry, it’s normal. All you need to do is to grab a pair of heavy dumbbells, kettebells or even a pair of heavy bags and that’s it. You need to raise them and then walk, just walk.
How can this make you stronger? Happens that this simple yet powerful exercise can boost your metabolism up by a lot and active lots of your muscles. When you do this exercise you are working out your abs along with your shoulders and lots of other muscles.
How To Do It?
As we are working to make you stronger, you will need to carry heavy dumbbells or any other load on your both hands, walk for a short period of time and rest for a longer period of time. It’s that simple, right now I’m going to share with you a damn simple yet effective workout you can use with the farmer walk.
- Grab a pair of heavy loads. If you don’t have dumbbells nor kettlebells, then all you need to do is to find a pair of suitcases, fill them with water bottles and that’s it. I’m 85kg heavy, so I always grab something around 40kg/each hand.
- Once you have found your loads to carry, then you need to start from the ground and impulse yourself up with the force of your legs and just walk.
- You will have to walk for around 20-25 seconds and then rest for 1 full minute. You will have to do this 5-7 times.
- You can do this simple workout 5-7 times a week. It doesn’t require a lot of time as you can see, and the gains you will get thanks to it are supreme.
You will not only gain strength thanks to the farmer walk, but you will also lose more fat and build more muscle.
